Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at OnPoint Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with examination and treatment of patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Complete intake processes, including verifying patient information and obtaining medical history.
  • Document vital signs and populate electronic medical records accurately and timely.
  • Perform point-of-care tests and maintain supplies in storage areas and exam rooms.
  • Conduct business in a service-oriented manner, demonstrating empathy and respect for patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited healthcare program, such as Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT, or equivalent work experience.
  • Maintain certifications per state guidelines.
  • Nationally recognized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, with experience in EMR systems a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics.
  • Athenahealth practice management system experience.
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds, with occasional lifting of more than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
