Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Roofing Sheet Metal Installer to join our team at Upson Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining commercial roofing systems, with a focus on sheet metal fabrication and installation of metal wall panels and roof panel systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain commercial roofing systems, including sheet metal fabrication and installation of metal wall panels and roof panel systems.
  • Work with shop drawings and plans to ensure accurate installation.
  • Install ACM panels and other types of exterior cladding, including soffits, fascias, gutters, and downspouts.
  • Perform copper detail and soldering work.
  • Install all types of standing seam panel systems.
Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire physical and pre-hire drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions and reliable transportation.
  • Sheet metal hand tools required.
  • Minimum 1 year's experience installing sheet metal for commercial roofing (preferred).
  • Ability to reach, lift, and maneuver supplies and ladders up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Ability to work in varying outdoor climate conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a job environment more than 6 ft off the ground.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
  • Layout and fabrication experience beneficial.
  • Professional, respectful, and able to maintain composure with customers and co-workers.
  • Possess accurate oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish beneficial.
