We are seeking a skilled Commercial Sheet Metal Installer to join our team at Upson Company. As a Commercial Sheet Metal Installer, you will be responsible for working on various commercial projects, focusing on sheet metal fabrication and installation of metal wall panels and roof panel systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high-quality installations and adhere to Upson Company and SMACNA standards.
- Understand and interpret shop drawings and plans.
- Install ACM panels, exterior cladding, soffits, fascias, gutters, and downspouts.
- Perform copper detailing and soldering.
- Install various types of standing seam panel systems.
- Age 18 or older.
- Pass pre-hire physical and drug screen.
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions and reliable transportation.
- Sheet metal hand tools required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience installing sheet metal for commercial roofing (preferred).
- Ability to lift, maneuver, and carry supplies and ladders up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
- Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Work in varying outdoor climate conditions for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights over 6 ft.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Layout and fabrication experience beneficial.
- Professional, respectful, and composed when interacting with customers and coworkers.
- Accurate oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow company policies, OSHA, and applicable state and federal laws.
- Fluent in English; bilingual English and Spanish beneficial.
- Produce quality work and provide professional customer service.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Task-oriented and dependable.
- Team-oriented with ability to excel in a team environment.
