Aggregate Quality Control Specialist

The Olen Corporation, a leading construction aggregates producer in the Midwest, has seven locations serving Central, Northeast, and Northwest Ohio.
Setting the industry standard in quality and service, Olen mines and processes materials from natural sand, gravel, and limestone deposits and is an ODOT 1069 prequalified aggregates supplier.
Job Summary:
The QC Technician is responsible for ensuring aggregate quality meets federal, state, and customer specifications.
Collaborating with aggregate plant personnel, sales teams, construction foremen, engineers, and government agencies to maintain quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct aggregate sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with specifications.
Maintain accurate records of testing results and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
Perform daily laboratory cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment and supplies.
Prepare and submit reports to government agencies and customers on test results.
Investigate customer complaints regarding discrepancies between test results and received aggregates.
Requirements:
Knowledge of aggregate quality control data and laboratory equipment operation.
Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
ODOT Level 1 and Level 2 certification.
High School Diploma and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
