Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain data solutions to support the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop BI reports, dashboards, and ETL processes based on specified requirements
  • Understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Perform basic data analysis to support requirements gathering and documentation and to ensure quality of data
  • Conduct unit testing of solutions developed and assist in validating outputs
  • Conduct troubleshooting and support of existing solutions
  • Create and maintain documentation related to solutions being developed
  • Translate business requirements into technical design documentation
  • Conduct training, change management, and release planning for solutions being deployed
  • Optimize existing solutions and identify key areas where efficiency can be gained through automation
Requirements
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong skills writing SQL queries in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or other industry-leading RDBMS
  • Strong skills creating reports and dashboards using Microsoft Reporting Services, Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects, Cognos, or other reporting tools
  • Competent skills creating ETL processes using Microsoft Integration Services, Informatica, or other data integration tools
  • Exposure to designing and maintaining OLAP cubes and data models using Microsoft Analysis Services or other tools
  • Exposure to dimensional data modeling and data warehousing methodologies
  • Experience writing effective technical specifications or other documentation
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with a wide range of audiences and maintain interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to work within time constraints and manage multiple tasks against critical deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in related field or professional certification in relevant area
  • IT-related experience in the Health or Ancillary Insurance industry
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
About the Role

This is a remote position with a base salary range of $47,975 to $72,000 for a BI Developer I and $61,085 to $90,000 for a BI Developer II. The actual salary will vary based on factors such as candidate qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and company tenure and equity.

The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.
