At Pete Hill Construction Co Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Coordinator to join our dynamic Los Angeles team.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project documentation, ensuring quality and contractual risk management throughout the project life cycle. This includes:

  • Bidding / Estimating: Assist in preparing bids and estimates for construction projects.
  • Budgeting: Manage project budgets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • RFI Management: Coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Subcontract Management: Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Purchase Order Management: Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Shop Drawing Management: Review and approve shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Change Order Management: Negotiate and manage change orders with clients and subcontractors.
  • Project Billing Review/Approval: Verify project billings and ensure accuracy.
  • Risk Management and Forecasting: Identify and mitigate potential risks and provide project forecasting.
  • Submittal and Procurement Management: Coordinate submittals and procurements to ensure timely completion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-2 years minimum direct experience with project schedules, RFIs, estimates, budgets, and contracts.
  • Ability to read/bid construction plans.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of subcontractor scopes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project owners, architects, and office team.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Management Software).
  • P6/On-Center/Revit/Bluebeam experience a plus.
  • Sage/Timberline experience a plus.
  • Willingness to regularly visit and walk job sites as well as work in the office.
  • Candidate must possess Pete Hill Construction Co Inc's core values: passion, integrity, hard work, and professionalism.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods, walk job sites with ease, and bend/stoop as needed.
  • Ability to lift or maneuver boxes without accommodation.
