About the Position

We're seeking an experienced IT Data Protection Specialist to join our security team. This key position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and processes to identify, label, and protect Worldpay data. You'll create a security program that supports our standards, guidelines, compliance, and safe usage and protection of Worldpay data.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing strategies and processes to identify, label, and protect Worldpay data
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective cybersecurity and data protection solutions
  • Designing and deploying solutions to scan for sensitive data, identify access/location/owners, verify data security, and protect sensitive data-at-rest
  • Participating in establishing and creating necessary policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Creating and owning business and functional requirements documents, logical and technical solution designs, and implementation plans
  • Demonstrating proactive thought-leadership by actively keeping up to date on industry trends and developments and making recommendations for areas of opportunity and improvement
  • Preparing and presenting strategic roadmaps and metrics to Executive-level leadership

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need 3 to 5 years' experience with data governance as a practice, including data classification, protection, labeling, and identification. A change leader who can build relationships, influence stakeholders, communicate clearly, and interact effectively at all levels of the organization is also required. Additionally, general knowledge of data protection technology capabilities and use cases, including data security platforms (e.g., Varonis), Data Security Posture Management solutions, and DLP solutions is needed. Solid understanding of data management principles, processes, and tools, as well as data security and privacy technologies and methods, is also essential.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $110,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
