About the Unit:
- 20-bed Intensive Care Unit
- Patient-to-Nurse ratio of 2:1
- Care for diverse ICU patients with a focus on open-heart cases
- Stroke Certified Unit
- Collaboration with the Eye Bank and Tissue and Organ Alliance
- A culture of teamwork, support, education, and enjoyment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process and critical thinking to deliver safe and effective patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Exhibit professionalism and active engagement in unit activities.
- Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability, serving as a resource for the care team.
- Maintain accountability for the quality of nursing services and the nursing profession's image.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate, or bachelor’s degree).
- Minimum of six months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
- Current Registered Nurse License in Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
This role requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
