Position Summary: The Packaging Assistant will engage in various packaging, shipping, and receiving tasks while adhering to CGMP standards under direct supervision. Collaboration, effective communication, and a focus on continuous improvement are vital for achieving production and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately complete manufacturing documentation for packaging and production in accordance with established SOPs and CGMP regulations.
  • Operate and fine-tune production machinery using both automatic and manual controls to meet product specifications.
  • Prepare, print, and apply labels for vials, bottles, and boxes as per SOP guidelines.
  • Execute the packaging process, which includes the manual application of caps and labels to vials and boxes, followed by preparing items for shipment.
  • Utilize a semi-automated system to fill and cap 2.5L bottles, apply labels, and manually load boxes.
  • Complete production checklists and conduct in-process sampling as necessary.
  • Finalize documentation for line clearance and product release, including bill of materials and yield reconciliation.
  • Receive and organize materials for production, ensuring proper storage post-production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of production equipment.
  • Prepare products for customer shipment, including palletizing and managing shipping documentation.
  • Receive incoming materials and supplies, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and inspecting for damages.
  • Perform data entry tasks in the ERP system.
  • Assist in the review and revision of documents, proposing and implementing improvements to production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP standards in documentation, work areas, and equipment.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
  • Manage time effectively to meet productivity targets.
  • Support manufacturing operations as required.
  • Assist with inventory management and warehouse activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One to two years of experience in manufacturing, particularly in filling, labeling, or packaging operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical device sectors.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in email, spreadsheet, word processing, and ERP software is essential for success in this role.
