Job Summary

Career Strategies is seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Tualatin, OR area. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.

The ideal candidate will have the necessary tools and expertise to effectively complete tasks, follow oral and written instructions, and maintain effective working relationships.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify, diagnose, repair, and resolve issues related to electrical, plumbing, A/C and heating systems, appliances, stairs, railings, gas fixtures, carpet, tiles, flooring, etc.

· Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, or installations, including faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water-dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines.

· Conduct electrical repairs, replacements, or installations, including power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, climate control systems, and garage doors openers.

· Perform drywall repairs, including filling in small holes caused by nails and minor dings from normal wear and tear.

· Provide painting services, including minor touch-ups and new coats of paint applied to unit walls.

· Repair and maintain appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, range ovens, washers, dryers, hot water tanks, and air conditioners.

· Maintain grounds, including mowing grass, pulling weeds, trimming and pruning trees and shrubs, watering lawns and plants, replacing light bulbs, and tidying up bark or other ground covering.

· Ensure a tidy appearance in shared community locations, including the leasing office lobby, clubhouses, and fitness or recreational areas.

· Clean fixtures, floors, and other surfaces in vacated units before new renters assume occupancy.

Requirements

· Must be authorized to work in the US.

· Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

· Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
