We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Team Lead to join our team at The Grounds Guys. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a crew of lawn care professionals and ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Field: You will be the boots on the ground, responsible for walking job sites, checking for quality control, and ensuring equipment is maintained.
  • Team Leadership: You will help structure routes, manage employee schedules, and keep crew members organized and on task.
  • Support and Development: You will find solutions for issues that come up among staff, provide training and support, and ensure team members have the resources they need to succeed.
  • Operations Management: You will ensure everything is wrapped up and set to go for the next day, and that all operations are running smoothly.
How We Measure Success
  • Attendance: You will set the example for attendance and ensure the rest of the team follows suit.
  • Budget vs Actual Hours: You will manage time planned and spent at each job to keep jobs profitable.
  • Return Rates: You will ensure quality control to minimize the need for rework.
  • Crew Retention: You will foster a healthy team environment and keep people accountable to reduce turnover.
  • Customer Retention: You will build strong relationships with customers and ensure they receive exceptional service.
  • Software and Process Utilization: You will ensure full utilization of our software and processes to support all of the above.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in landscaping, lawn service, or similar industries is essential.
  • Operational Knowledge: You will need to know how to operate and maintain mowers, trimmers, tractors, and other equipment.
  • Certifications and Licenses: You will need to obtain any required certifications and licenses within 6 months of employment.
  • Driving History: You will need a clean driving history and experience driving a trailer.
Benefits and Pay

The pay for this position ranges between $23.00 per hour, depending on experience as a lawn care or landscaping professional and in leading a team.
