Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen requisitions to ensure proper exams are being ordered and proper prep is called to the Nurse taking care of the patient.
  • Ensure proper work flow is being maintained.
  • Maintain positive relationship between Radiologist and sonographers.
  • Assist Lead Technologist and Supervisor in the day to day operation.
  • Primary person ensuring proper steps are taken in the documentation process of ultrasound exams (tracking/dictation of exam in timely manner).
  • Initiate service calls and documents.
  • Train fellow sonographers and students with complex and/or new techniques.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound School.
  • ARDMS Certification required.
  • Must be CPR certified.
  • Preferred: Minimum three years experience in a hospital setting performing the following preferred: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Thyroid, Vascular, Pediatric, Biopsies and Interventional Procedures.
