Staff Nurse; 36hrs, Night, Nursing Float Pool, Kaiser Permanente

As a Staff Nurse with Kaiser Permanente, you will provide high-quality nursing care and services to patients and families. You will also provide direction to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistive personnel, ensuring that care is delivered in a safe and effective manner. This role requires strong leadership skills, as you will be responsible for delegating nursing tasks and providing guidance to your team members. You will also utilize your critical thinking skills to make sound judgments and decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care and services to patients and families, utilizing the nursing process to deliver care.
Delegate nursing tasks to LPNs and nursing assistive personnel, ensuring that care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
Provide direction and guidance to LPNs and nursing assistive personnel, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Utilize critical thinking skills to make sound judgments and decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Serve as a resource nurse, providing support and guidance to your team members.
Act as a preceptor, mentoring new staff members and promoting a culture of learning and development.
Incorporate the Kaiser Permanente Vision, Model, and Values into your nursing practice, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Perform other duties as assigned, within the scope of your practice.
Basic Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Hawaii.
One year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing float pool.
Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, change management, decision making, detail oriented, customer service, influence, interpersonal relations, oral communication, prioritization, problem solving, quality management, results orientation, system thinking, teamwork, time management, and written communication competencies.
