Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide support and companionship to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the community. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for accompanying individuals on outings and activities, such as outings/field trips, activities and events, shopping and eating out, and developmental goal-based activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support and companionship to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the community
  • Accompany individuals on outings and activities, such as outings/field trips, activities and events, shopping and eating out, and developmental goal-based activities
  • Support individuals with developmental goals, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve
  • Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
  • Six months of experience in human services or direct care preferred
  • Valid CA driver's license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Ability to pass criminal and driver history background checks and a physical and TB test
  • Skills in communication, multi-tasking, adaptability, teamwork, and time management
  • Behaviors of patience, compassion, reliability, and responsibility
