We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at FOCUS Employment Solutions, LLC. As a LVN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our clients in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Job SummaryThis is a 1745-0615 night shift position, offering a unique opportunity to work in various settings including clinic, in-patient, med pass, outpatient, wound care, cell side care, ER, and critical care. Responsibilities- Provide nursing services, treatments, and diagnostic and preventive procedures appropriate for inmate care and safety
- Interpret physicians' orders and administer prescribed medication as needed
- Assist physicians with sick calls when present and observe signs and symptoms during sick calls when the physician is not present
- Report reactions to treatments and medications as well as changes in the inmates' emotional or physical condition to the supervisor
- May instruct and supervise correctional staff concerning inmate health care and needs
- Consult with supervisor on problem cases and maintain accurate medical records
- Check and order supplies as necessary and provide health care education to inmates
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license/permit in the State of Texas
- 1+ years of Med/Surg and LTAC experience
- Current BLS-HP certification required
- LVNs must be IV Therapy Certified
- Night shift positions with a 4:3 rotating schedule
- Clearance documents will be sent to candidates during the review stage
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
