Senior Microgravity Payload Project Manager

CSS, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Microgravity Payload Project Manager to lead the programmatic development of microgravity science payloads for the International Space Station (ISS) and other microgravity platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the programmatic aspects of design, development, launch, and operations of microgravity payloads.
  • Collaborate with payload scientists and engineers, customers, and external partners to ensure successful mission integration and operations.
  • Plan, develop, and manage integrated schedules, budgets, and resource utilization in support of assigned projects and related tasks.
  • Provide support for on-orbit payload operations and crew training.
  • Plan, evaluate, and produce necessary information and cost estimates for assets, consumables, and other required materials related to project performance.
  • Provide regular project performance data reporting to clients and corporate management as directed and required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to microgravity sciences payloads, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in project management or systems engineering of space payload processing, flight hardware mission integration, and operations for scientific experimentation in space.
  • Proficiency in basic laboratory principles and techniques.
  • Strong dependability and punctuality in both remote and on-site environments.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects accurately and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a field relevant to microgravity sciences payloads.
  • Project management professional certification.
  • Experience in human spaceflight programs.
  • Experience with on-orbit payload operations.
