OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

The Financial Services Representative is responsible for executing precise financial transactions for clients, which encompasses account openings, processing teller transactions, educating clients about various products and services, and addressing customer inquiries and concerns. Establish trust-based relationships with clients and propose financial solutions tailored to their requirements. Ensure a superior customer experience through effective onboarding, continuous service, and referrals. Accountable for business development and achieving growth objectives for existing clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist clients with daily service requests, including complex issues related to inquiries, new accounts, and ongoing relationship management for both deposit and loan clients.
  • Facilitate transfers, loan payments, and wire transactions.
  • Open new consumer accounts while promoting supporting products and services such as online banking, mobile banking, and debit cards.
  • Establish business accounts and assist in the implementation of Treasury Management products and services.
  • Educate clients about all banking products and services; identify and promote cross-selling opportunities to enhance the client's banking relationship.
  • Support the teller line as a backup teller, accurately assisting clients with transaction processing.
  • Achieve or surpass sales and referral targets, as well as individual and branch performance goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and adhere to all banking financial and security regulations and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in sales, teller operations, new account setups, or loan processing.

Supervisory Experience: Not applicable.

Licenses/Certifications: None required.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with 10-Key by touch is preferred.

Additional Requirements: Detail-oriented with strong decision-making skills. Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving typing, using a mouse, handling paper, currency, or coins, and operating a telephone. Must be capable of opening vault doors or lifting/transferring items typical in an office setting. Knowledge of standard banking products, services, and transactions, including deposit products and credit/debit cards.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience in teller operations or sales. Strong attention to detail and accuracy; professional and courteous communication skills. Ability to cross-sell and/or refer banking products based on client needs. Excellent oral and written customer service skills.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: A strong emphasis on exceptional customer service skills; ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

FINANCIAL ACUMEN: Familiarity with financial terminology and practices; ability to perform mathematical calculations.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Not applicable.

AUTONOMY: Discretion in recognizing and mitigating risks to the bank.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Targeted hiring range based on experience: $19.50 hourly. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications and other considerations permitted by law.
