Security Officer Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing security-related policies and procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, patients, and physical properties.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Enforce security-related policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment
* Perform other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals
* Participate in orientation and continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise

**Requirements:**

* NYS certification as a Security Guard required
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Minimum of two years security experience highly desirable
* College level course work in criminal justice a definite plus, but not required
* BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required

**Work Environment and Hazards:**

* Clinical and outdoor setting
* Exposure Class I

**Physical Demands:**

* Medium work: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling

**Work Contact Group:**

* All services, medical staff, patients, visitors, contractors, vendors, various regulatory agencies

**Supervised By:**

* Coordinator of Services

**Supervises:**

* None

**Pay Range:**

$26.50

**Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.**
