Job Opportunity

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Survey Field Technician - Crew Chief to join our team in Burnsville, Minnesota. As a Top Workplace, we offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment that fosters growth and development.

This full-time position involves approximately 90% field surveying and 10% office duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors, as well as performing field work for land surveying scopes of work, including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA/ASCM, and topography surveys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including robotic total stations, GPS devices, and data collectors
  • Perform field work for land surveying scopes of work, including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA/ASCM, and topography surveys
  • Transfer files between data collectors and internal company project folders
  • Prepare construction documents and record data in field books
  • Maintain productive working relationships with clients and coworkers

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Associates Degree in Land Surveying Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • 3+ years of field experience in data collection and construction staking with knowledge of legal descriptions
  • NSPE Certified Survey Technical Level III or LSIT Certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license and insurable at the Firm's standard rates
  • Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
