Front Desk Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Front Desk Attendant to join our team at Inwood House. As a Front Desk Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to residents and guests, ensuring the safety and security of the premises, and performing various administrative tasks.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Provide professional and courteous service to residents, guests, and staff at all times.
- Assist residents and guests with their concerns and work with them to find a resolution or refer them to the proper staff person.
- Receive and record work orders and assist with maintenance concerns.
- Safeguard the privacy of resident and employee information by limiting the disclosure of protected information.
- Receive and distribute resident packages from delivery services and log all packages to ensure proper tracking.
- Ensure the Front Desk and Lobbies are neat and organized daily.
Safety
- Actively promote the safety and well-being of residents by conducting regular building rounds to check for and eliminate safety hazards.
- Monitor CCTV, ECS, fire alarm, and other related building mechanical systems and take appropriate action as needed.
- Protect the safety of residents and their belongings by following established policies and procedures.
- Monitor the traffic of guests as they come and go from the building to ensure they are following proper use of the building entry system.
Emergencies
- Understand and implement all emergency procedures in a timely manner to mitigate injury to persons and damage to the building or equipment.
- Perform necessary basic building maintenance as outlined in the Emergency Maintenance Requests policy.
- Contact additional staff or vendors in a timely manner when necessary to correct or prevent unsafe conditions.
- Ascend and descend the fire exit stairs during an emergency and to monitor the building in the event of a power outage, fire, or other building emergency.
Communication and Documentation
- Communicate important information to emergency personnel and/or other staff members verbally or by phone as needed.
- Record any emergencies, incidents, unusual conditions, resident issues, resident medical issues, potential lease violations, and use of the master key to unlock apartment doors or enter an apartment in the Front Desk Log book.
- Prepare incident reports and work requests as needed.
Other
- Work closely with management and other staff members to develop an integral team that effectively represents quality, professionalism, and the mission of Inwood House.
- Attend and participate in training and staff meetings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned in a safe manner.
