Job Title: Nursing Assistant

Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients in the Med/Surg Department. This role will assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care, and maintain a safe environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide basic nursing care, including vital sign measurements and wound care
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including restocking supplies and disposing of waste
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Requirements:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office
