Assembly Specialist

The Senior Assembler plays a crucial role in the assembly process, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency in the production of components. This position requires strong collaboration and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct assembly work using prescribed methods and tools, with a focus on precision and attention to detail.
- Collect and document test data, utilizing databases and office software to track manufacturing processes.
- Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions, contributing to continuous improvement activities.
- Assist in selecting and setting up specialized equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform equipment setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance, adhering to audit and safety guidelines.
- Train current and new employees, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred.
- Background in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, complex manufacturing processes preferred.
- Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement a plus.
- Previous assembly experience in a Clean Room environment is a plus.
- Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team of 8-10 colleagues.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment using appropriate PPE.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to support projects, perform training, and work efficiently as part of cohesive teams.
- Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language, and educational backgrounds.
