Position Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Coordinator who will oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance operations for ore processing machinery and systems. This position is crucial in ensuring that maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively, thereby minimizing downtime and enhancing the performance of concentrator operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the comprehensive planning of all maintenance tasks related to the concentrator.
  • Analyze maintenance reports, work orders, and historical data to optimize procedures, planning, and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with the site's Safety Management Plan.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop short, medium, and long-term maintenance strategies for equipment.
  • Maintain site records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Contribute to the planning of Maintenance Shutdowns by identifying and prioritizing future maintenance needs, collaborating with operations, engineering, maintenance, and external contractors for safe execution.
  • Efficiently manage the ordering of parts through appropriate channels to support effective planning.
  • Utilize the maintenance system fully to ensure transparency across the organization.
  • Work closely with the Coordinator of Concentrator Maintenance and purchasing teams, ensuring resources are available as needed.
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding site issues that may impact operational and financial performance.
  • Assist the Coordinator of Concentrator Maintenance with monthly reporting and necessary adjustments.
  • Track maintenance activities against targets and inform leadership of any discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the annual equipment budget as required.
  • Manage the process for equipment transfer or disposal, ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are completed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with processing facility operations in the mining sector, including concentrator maintenance, safety protocols, and equipment utilization.
  • Project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with document control systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and mentor team members.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a two-year technical program is preferred.

Work Environment

  • This role involves both desk work and regular fieldwork.
  • Some physical strength and lifting may be required.
