Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Inspector to join our team in Concord, NH. As an Electrical Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with city, state, and national codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with codes and regulations
  • Issue permits and conduct site inspections to verify compliance
  • Supervise electricians and assist contractors and property owners in code requirements
  • Provide education and training on electrical safety and code compliance
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective code enforcement
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Four years or more of related experience, including 576 hours of classroom time and 15 hours of code update training every three years
  • New Hampshire Master Electrician License
  • IBC Certification (preferred)
  • Valid New Hampshire Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and IBC Basic Building Code
  • Ability to examine blueprints and electrical diagrams to determine compliance
  • Principles and functions of electrical theory
  • Operation of electronic and electrical equipment used in system operations
  • Computer hardware, software, and applicable languages
Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, machinery with moving parts, contagious or infectious diseases, irritating chemicals, and cold or inclement weather.

The employee must be able to use protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
