About the Role

SWBC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Claims Processor to join our team. As a Claims Processor, you will play a critical role in processing claim documents and inquiries related to insurance claims for multiple lines of business and complex coverage types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claim Processing: Identify coverage and set up new claims in the claims system, assigning the appropriate adjuster, appraiser, and/or vendor.
  • Documentation and Notation: Document and notate claims as necessary, including contacts with clients and appraisal companies.
  • Correspondence Handling: Handle incoming correspondence to assist lenders, borrowers, and third-party administrators.
  • Document Management: Upload and save imaging documents into the claim system.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform other daily activities, including maintaining daily trackers, distributing mail to appropriate parties, logging customer complaints, and completing special projects.
  • Customer Service: Handle incoming calls in a phone queue and use excellent customer service skills to gather claim information.
  • Claim Status Review: Review claims statuses and notate the claims system with the status.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in performing similar duties required. Auto insurance experience preferred.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of word processing, proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Excellent organizational and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities, able to stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time, able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
