We offer a full-time W2 position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM with flexibility to accommodate personal needs.

Minimal on-call responsibilities, with no overnight shifts required.

Daily rounding in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), and Assisted Living Facilities (ALF).

Compensation ranges from $250,000 to $300,000 annually, based on experience, along with bonuses and mileage reimbursement.

Summit Medical Consultants is a rapidly expanding medical practice. Established in 2015, we have grown to nearly 100 employees and continue to expand. If we were a hospital in Colorado, we would rank 9th in terms of annual admissions. Our mission is to deliver exceptional clinical services to patients and their families throughout their stays in Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, and Assisted and Independent Living facilities. We collaborate with Hospitalists, Specialist physicians, Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, Case Management, and Psychiatry to provide compassionate and coordinated care.


ROLE DESCRIPTION

The psychiatrist will provide medical oversight and care to the designated patient population, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of care provided. Active participation in medical staff duties is expected. The psychiatrist will engage in quality assurance, utilization management, and peer review initiatives to guarantee high-quality, cost-effective services. Collaboration with administration and staff is essential to support strategic and operational objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve quality benchmarks in the delivery of medical care while performing related administrative tasks within the clinical environment.
  • Maintain timely, appropriate, and confidential documentation and coding of patient care to comply with medical reporting standards and billing practices.
  • Participate in medical staff meetings, peer reviews, and evaluations as required, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with other physicians, administration, staff, and the community to foster collaborative improvement efforts.
  • Adhere to safety standards in all aspects of performance, reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment.
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the practice, serving as a role model for staff.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, navigate complex situations, and make informed decisions.
  • Engage in scholarly activities to support the control and treatment of diseases, potentially participating in research on new medications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Skilled Nursing/Post-Acute care and/or Hospitalist settings is preferred.

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with licensure in the practicing state.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified by the relevant certifying board.
  • Must apply for and maintain medical staff membership and clinical privileges at appropriate facilities as stipulated in the employment agreement.
