We are seeking a full-time W2 Psychiatrist with benefits.

Working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM with flexibility.

Minimal on-call shifts, and no overnight responsibilities.

Daily rounding in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), and Assisted Living Facilities (ALF).

Compensation ranges from $250,000 to $300,000 annually, based on experience, with bonuses and mileage reimbursement.

Summit Medical Consultants LLC is a rapidly expanding medical practice established in 2015, currently employing around 100 professionals. Our mission is to deliver exceptional clinical services to patients and their families throughout their stays in Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, and Assisted and Independent Living environments. We collaborate with Hospitalists, Specialist physicians, Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, Case Management, and Psychiatry to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Psychiatrist will provide medical oversight and care to the designated patient population, ensuring timely and appropriate documentation. Active participation in medical staff duties is expected. The role includes involvement in quality assurance, utilization management, and peer review programs to maintain high-quality, cost-effective services. Collaboration with administration and staff is essential to support strategic and operational plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve quality metrics in the delivery of medical care while performing related administrative tasks in the clinical environment.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation and coding of patient care to comply with medical reporting standards and billing practices.
  • Participate in medical staff duties, attend meetings, and engage in peer reviews and evaluations as required.
  • Foster positive relationships with other physicians, administration, staff, and the community to support collaborative improvement efforts.
  • Adhere to safety standards and report any unsafe conditions or equipment.
  • Embody the mission, vision, and values of the practice, serving as a role model for staff.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage complex situations, and make informed decisions.
  • Engage in scholarly activities to contribute to the understanding and treatment of diseases.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Skilled Nursing/Post-Acute care and/or Hospitalist settings is preferred.

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with licensure in the practicing state.

CERTIFICATION

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified by the relevant certifying board.
  • Must apply for and maintain medical staff membership and clinical privileges as necessary.
