Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in our ambulatory settings, providing support to healthcare providers and patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with patient care and administrative tasks
  • Providing information to patients and families
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum one year of experience working in a medical facility
  • Documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills
Education and Certification

You will need to have:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by NJAC
  • Current certification from a recognized certifying board approved by NJ Board of Medical Examiners
  • Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association
