Key Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineering Leader will define the strategic objectives for the engineering and automation sectors within manufacturing. This role involves generating innovative concepts for system improvements and overseeing the development of labor-saving systems aimed at enhancing safety, quality, and productivity. The leader will provide engineering insights across departments as necessary, ensuring alignment with corporate vision and strategic goals.

Core Duties:

  • Establish a vision that aligns with the organization’s objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory, guiding the team towards creating a world-class manufacturing and automation engineering unit.
  • Drive innovation that transforms manufacturing processes while engaging all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Lead teams to successful project completions while ensuring the availability and allocation of resources.
  • Coordinate internal resources and external vendors for seamless project execution.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation and evaluate performance using appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks.
  • Support the broader IWT network, ensuring prioritization aligns with organizational objectives.

Daily Duties:

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development initiatives for staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and set objectives for team members.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to address project challenges and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure alignment with company goals, effectively bridging technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Manufacturing Engineering Leader role, candidates should possess a robust educational background and relevant certifications.

Requirements include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering and leadership roles.
  • Relevant certifications in the manufacturing sector may be required, with project management certifications such as PMP being advantageous.

This position requires a proven leader with strong technical acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance and meet objectives. Effective negotiation, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
