JOB SUMMARY:
Accountable for the evaluation, measurement, documentation, and reporting of product and process quality in alignment with control plans and engineering and/or customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to Company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Safety Regulations.
  • Conducts visual and/or dimensional inspections of processes, components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies throughout the manufacturing cycle and upon completion as specified in control plans.
  • Verifies compliance with Engineering Standards and Drawing specifications by executing and documenting outgoing shipment checks and audits as required.
  • Identifies and reports any deviations from the Quality system, Engineering Standards, Drawing Specifications, and Inspection Standards utilizing the Trouble Reporting System. Monitors, distributes, and follows up on issued Trouble Reports.
  • Interprets and monitors Statistical Process Control Charts, taking necessary actions as indicated.
  • Performs process capability assessments as directed.
  • Assists in gathering data aimed at process enhancement.
  • Supports Group Leaders and setup technicians in process targeting and optimization.
  • Guides and assists colleagues in the proper use and maintenance of inspection tools, gauges, and required documentation.
  • Maintains a tidy and organized workspace and equipment.
  • Participates in regular meetings as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS: (TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION)
  • High School Diploma or GED (Additional job-related training preferred, such as college courses, certifications, seminars).
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in using inspection gauges, equipment, and tools.
  • Capable of determining inspection methods using Drawing Specifications, control plans, and/or Customer Engineering Standards.
  • Able to work independently, organize tasks, and collect necessary information to troubleshoot potential product or process discrepancies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Ability to navigate around the office and production area.
  • Ability to bend, squat, lift arms overhead, and move head in various directions.
  • Good hand strength, dexterity, and ability to rotate wrists, arms, and shoulders. Adequate eyesight, hearing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift approximately 15 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to produce computer-generated reports quickly and accurately.
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods (by ground and/or air), including overnight stays.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is conducted in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety risks, as well as on the production floor where several potential hazards may exist. All safety protocols, regulations, and precautions must be observed when operating machinery and during travel to ensure the safety of employees and others.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Prior experience utilizing hand measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to interpret control plans and take measurements to ascertain if components meet specification tolerances.
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Basic computer proficiency.
