About Us

We are a non-profit community mental health center with a mission of delivering efficient and cost-effective treatment for those we serve. Our team of over 700 employees is passionate about people and supports our community, specifically those affected by mental illness or substance use.

What We Do

Our Integrated Treatment of Co-Occurring Disorders team provides case management focused services to individuals with both a mental health diagnosis and substance use disorder. We offer a variety of multidisciplinary services, including medication management, therapy, group therapy, health and wellness support, employment services, and transportation support.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and interact with a caseload of clients with diverse characteristics.
  • Facilitate each client's achievement of long-range outcomes of symptom management, employment, and independent living.
  • Engage difficult-to-serve clients by investigating all potential resources to gain access and make connections.
  • Help remove barriers for clients, including assisting with transportation barriers as identified in their treatment plan.
  • Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within our designated electronic medical record.
  • Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in a social science field or 4 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Valid automobile driver's license, appropriate automobile insurance, and a safe, reliable, registered automobile available for use during work.
  • At least two (2) years clinical experience in a direct service provision to children and adolescents in a mental health setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of the community resources as well as health and social service systems in the Kansas City metro area and skill in establishing working relationships with community partners preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word, and Excel programs as well as GSuite.
