  • Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with facility HACCP, SSOP, Quality, and GMP programs.
  • Develop and implement audit-ready procedures for the facility.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory laws and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager to evaluate and create employee development plans.
  • Facilitate comparative quality evaluations and raw material evaluations.
  • Utilize statistical process control to facilitate improvement.
  • Respond to consumer complaints and create action plans based on deviating results.
  • Coordinate with contract/external sanitation provider and oversee sanitation effectiveness.
  • Develop and ensure compliance of the HACCP/food safety plan.
  • Ensure compliance to the sanitation program.
  • Ensure 3rd party audit compliance, complete risk assessments, and facilitate improvements.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the traceability/recall program.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA/USDA requirements and GFSI requirements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience in USDA food manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity required.
  • BS degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology, Biology, or other science required.
  • Certifications through ASQC, SQF, GFSI, and other professional quality associations preferred.
  • Fluency in English (Written and Verbal) required.
