Direct Support Professional II

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional II to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional II, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.
Job Summary:The Direct Support Professional II will provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores. The Direct Support Professional II will also support individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations, such as participating in leisure activities, socializing with friends and family, and pursuing educational or vocational interests.
Responsibilities:- Provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Support individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations, such as participating in leisure activities, socializing with friends and family, and pursuing educational or vocational interests.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for individuals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
