Job Overview

As a Media Strategy Director, you'll leverage your expertise in media strategy and communication planning to drive meaningful change in the healthcare space. You'll be at the forefront of strategy development for healthcare providers and patients, crafting narratives that resonate and strategies that deliver. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic media plans for healthcare providers and patients, addressing their unique needs and creating tailored strategies for each.
  • Manage the entire media pitch process, from the initial Request for Proposal (RFP) to the final delivery to the client, aligning media strategies with client needs and effectively communicating these strategies.
  • Lead the new business RFP process, crafting compelling strategic narratives, developing effective media strategies, planning channel mixes, outlining investment approaches, and establishing measurement parameters.
  • Possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, effectively communicating complex ideas and strategies to internal teams and senior executives at client organizations.
  • Collaborate with media planning teams, research teams, and other departments to define go-to-market strategies across all media channels, supporting media planning and analytics teams in their analysis of media activity to shape the story and highlight key observations, insights, and optimizations.
  • Extract and apply data related to the brand, marketplace, and audiences to derive meaningful insights that drive strategy, providing POVs on go-to-market approaches as needed.
  • Train and mentor members of the media team to elevate their strategy and storytelling skills, as well as their business, media, and healthcare acumen.
  • Identify, design, and deliver opportunities for account growth and optimization, leveraging data and analytics to build a compelling business case, and lead/collaborate on new business pitches, owning the narrative.

Qualifications

  • Requires 10-15+ years of experience in leading client media strategy, with expert experience in leading agency new business pitch processes, communications planning, and media planning within US pharma/health agency roles or client-side roles.
  • Deep understanding of HCP and Patient media strategy development, especially in relation to new therapeutic launches and label extensions, is essential.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing patient and HCP segmentation, targeting, engagement strategy, and measurement approaches across various therapeutic areas, from ultra-rare to mass indications, is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of ROAS through both short and long-term measurement, and performance marketing is required.
  • A deep understanding of cross-channel marketing, including TV, search, social programmatic, and display, is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas, results, and concepts to senior executives and internal teams, are needed.
  • Experience in brand campaign and lead generation, with clear and established accountability metrics to assess effectiveness, is crucial.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and project and team management experience, are required.
  • Comfort with and enthusiasm for integrating AI into your work.

Estimated Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 per year
