Lead Power Systems Projects

The Project Manager II - Power Systems Lead is responsible for overseeing the delivery of power system projects to customers on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage power system projects from quoting to start-up with customers.
  • Collaborate with various departments to build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring trust and velocity in work.
  • Source, purchase, track, and receive necessary components for projects.
  • Identify and develop key vendor relationships, researching and evaluating potential vendors.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery of quality products.
  • Provide expertise during the quoting process for new or challenging projects.
  • Conduct 'lessons learned' exercises after key projects and collect feedback from teams.
  • Follow PSD processes and perform duties within guidelines set by the PSD Projects Manager.
  • Manage complex projects from multiple land-based salesmen.
  • Oversee engineering efforts, manufacturing of components, and purchase of outside components.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma with 8 years of professional experience or a bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience.
  • 2-4 years of project management experience with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and keep projects on budget, on time, and within scope.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Proficient in Excel and other current technology.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Work Environment:

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate. Required travel is up to 15%. This position is not considered safety-sensitive.
