Laboratory Technician

Cormetech is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for conducting and overseeing laboratory testing, including NOx activity testing and EPA Method 8a controlled condensate testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory, including regular maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Collect and record test data, prepare reports, and present results to management as required.
- Participate in laboratory quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Conduct NOx activity testing and EPA Method 8a controlled condensate testing of SCR catalysts by industry guidelines and best practices.
- Assist with other laboratory duties as required.
- Associates degree in a related scientific or technical field, or equivalent experience, required.
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering field, preferred, but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory software applications.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment, including experience following SOP's and/or working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment preferred, but not required.
- Mechanical noise.
- Dusty and dirty work environment due to materials and raw materials.
- Varying temperatures from warm to cool.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 25 pounds frequently.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds occasionally.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, twisting, climbing, and kneeling.
- 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11:30pm.
