Position Title: Special Education Teacher
Caseload: Elementary, Middle, or High School (Preference Required)
Compensation: $32 - $42 per hour based on qualifications and experience
Overview:
Soliant is looking for a dedicated and skilled Special Education Teacher to deliver tailored educational experiences for students with disabilities. In this role, you will collaborate with the Building Principal and the Director of Special Education to create and execute Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) for your assigned students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based specialized instruction to meet the goals outlined in each student's IEP.
- Evaluate student progress and identify the need for additional support or modifications to teaching strategies.
- Utilize diverse teaching methods and learning principles to help students achieve their IEP objectives.
- Develop and implement annual IEP plans for students.
- Coordinate the provision of special education services as specified in each student's IEP.
- Create an engaging learning environment with a focus on individualized instruction.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Act as the primary liaison for parents.
- Conduct special education assessments and reevaluations.
- Provide guidance, oversight, and assessment of educational assistants as required.
- Adhere to School Board policies and comply with all state and federal regulations.
- Complete all necessary district and state reporting obligations.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Special Education credential for the state.
- Education and experience as mandated by state authorities.
- Ability to manage stress associated with responsibilities that require continuous attention and interaction with students.
- Physical demands are limited to classroom activities involving lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds.
