Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care Grande Clinic in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This part-time to full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients in a primary care setting.
- Implement treatment, follow-up, and evaluate patient care within the scope of practice protocols.
- Provide pre-op and post-op care, write orders, and perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Document patient care, communicate with other healthcare team members, and maintain accurate and confidential records.
- Provide health education to patients, families, and community health practitioners, and may train and supervise medical residents.
- Advanced Practice Nursing or Physician Assistant Accredited Program Graduate.
- Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.
- Prescriptive Authority from the State of New Mexico and Federal DEA Certification.
- BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers (with hands on training) and ACLS or PALS (if applicable) within 30 days of hire.

About the Grande Primary Care ClinicUNM Medical Group has opened a new Primary Care Clinic for the Rio Rancho community in the summer of 2021. The UNM Health Grande Clinic focuses on providing the local community their non-emergency medical needs.
