Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing effective consultation and support for organizational decision making through high-level analysis, data mining of financial and operational data, and effective reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level analysis and data mining of financial and operational data to support organizational decision making
  • Develop and maintain effective reporting systems to provide timely and accurate information to stakeholders
  • Assist all levels of management in budgetary development and monitoring
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data analysis
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience using Excel to maintain spreadsheets and perform data manipulation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to work with multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years experience working with a cost accounting system
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
