KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance within the hospitality or commercial sector.
- Proficient in computer applications relevant to maintenance operations.
- Adept at identifying safety hazards and addressing them promptly.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on problem resolution.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, delegate responsibilities, and take initiative.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Customer service-focused with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Responsible for inventory management and procurement as needed.
- Capable of planning and coordinating maintenance tasks on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- CPO certification required or willingness to obtain certification.
- Responsible for the upkeep and functionality of the swimming pool.
- Experience in repairing mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· This position requires a commitment to a 40-hour work week, including weekends and evenings.
· Ensure guest satisfaction through friendly and helpful service.
· Maintain HVAC systems, boilers, electrical systems, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
· Conduct preventative maintenance to uphold hotel quality standards.
· Responsible for inspecting and maintaining systems for air conditioning, televisions, lighting, and performing necessary repairs or replacements.
· Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the swimming pool.
· Must possess or be willing to obtain CPO certification (cost covered by the property).
· Conduct follow-up inspections and repairs on plumbing systems, toilets, fixtures, sinks, and laundry equipment.
· Refurbish, paint, and repair furniture in guest rooms and common areas.
· Proactively troubleshoot issues and assist team members as needed.
· Adhere to established corporate and brand standards.
· Support training initiatives and development needs within the hotel.
· Maintain the property to meet or exceed quality assurance standards.
· Participate in safety procedures and committee meetings.
· Certifications in HVAC repairs, plumbing, electrical work, and swimming pool maintenance are required.
· Responsibilities may evolve, and additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to stand and move throughout the facility for the majority of the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Frequent hand and arm movements, including grasping and reaching overhead.
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, and walk on uneven surfaces regularly.
- Must frequently handle tools and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- The physical demands outlined are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
- HVAC certification is mandatory for this position.
