Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee systems programming and management for extensive high-performance computing environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Collaborate with the systems team to administer, integrate, and maintain parallel computing systems and associated peripherals.
  • Engage with engineering stakeholders to facilitate complex system integration, deployment, performance analysis, and security initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of system management strategies and architectural assessments.
  • Lead projects focused on enhancing the HPC environment and mentoring engineering teams on new capabilities.

Business Objectives:

  • Achieve 100% mission success and establish a high-reliability organization.
  • Expand organizational scale and increase launch rates.
  • Position ULA as the premier launch provider for the U.S. Government.
  • Optimize organizational costs and enhance data management for disaster recovery and performance.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.

Experience: A minimum of 8 years in relevant work experience.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in high-performance computing systems and scalable architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and advanced data storage technologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop integrated solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with cloud solutions, particularly Azure and AWS.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with network security protocols and queuing software.
