Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs of diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes
  • Work with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete tasks and projects
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
