Position Overview:
The Cedar Rapids Community School District is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Food Service and Nutrition Aide. This position involves providing essential support in the operation of our food service program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, handling, and serving of food.
- Adhere to departmental protocols and health regulations.
- Support the cleaning of kitchenware, including pots, pans, and utensils.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality meals.
- Be available for flexible hours to meet on-call needs.
- Engage in general cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy work environment.
- Foster positive communication with all individuals served by the Food & Nutrition department.
- Represent the department professionally and positively.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
- Enthusiasm for working with various people.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Work Schedule:
Hours are flexible and will be determined based on availability and operational needs.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $14.00/hr.
Physical Requirements:
To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to meet the physical demands, which include frequent standing, walking, and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
The work environment is dynamic, with exposure to various kitchen and cafeteria settings. Employees should be prepared for a consistently active atmosphere.
