Job Opportunity

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Scientist to join the Grivennikov Lab. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the lab's research efforts in immunology and cancer biology, focusing on the role of cytokine pathways and inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer, as well as the role of functional microbiota in induction of inflammation, tumorigenesis, and cancer metastasis.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in biomedical sciences, immunology, pharmacology, or a related field, with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate within the previous three years. Experience with in vivo cancer models, flow cytometry techniques, and bioinformatic analyses of large-scale data is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively with the Principal Investigator and other scientists in the lab, with a strong aptitude for experimental protocols and procedures, data collection and analysis, and operation and maintenance of specialized equipment.

As a Postdoctoral Scientist in our lab, you will have the opportunity to develop your own line of research within the broad scientific interests of the lab, with the support of a dynamic and collaborative team. You will also contribute to the lab's efforts to advance our understanding of immunology and cancer biology, with the potential to publish impactful research and present at conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in biomedical sciences, immunology, pharmacology, or an area directly related to a field of research specialization in broad immunology and/or cancer biology.
  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate within previous three years.
  • Experience with in vivo cancer models, flow cytometry techniques, and bioinformatic analyses of large-scale data.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in cancer metabolism.
  • Proficiency in flow cytometry techniques.
  • Experience with in vivo cancer models.
