Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Genus, a global leader in swine genetics. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our farm facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on farm equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and systems, and implement solutions to resolve problems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with farm management and other maintenance personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in maintenance and repair techniques.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a relevant maintenance discipline, including but not limited to Agro-Industrial Engineering, Agronomy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Sustainable Development and Engineering Bachelor degrees under the Engineer and Agriculturist professions.
  • Minimum of one year of maintenance experience working in an agriculture or manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours, including weekend, evening, holidays and emergency situations as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with farm management and other maintenance personnel.
