We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Supervisor to join our team at ASM Global. The Event Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a liaison between clients and facility departments to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
- Determine needs and activate solutions for event success, working closely with the Event Management and senior leadership teams.
- Regularly serve as the senior on-site venue representative, making and implementing improvised decisions about all aspects of venue operations, event services, staff direction/supervision, and guest services.
- Monitor in-house events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events.
- Attend planning, organization, and other event or facility meetings in support of facility operations.
- May be responsible for helping with setup, breakdowns, and changes for events.
- Implement and follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established by the venue.
- Ability to lead changeover, custodians, event staff, and F&B staff during event activities.
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekday evenings, weekdays, and holidays.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
- Ensure appropriate management members are aware of significant issues/opportunities encountered during events.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check by corporate minimum requirements.
- One to two years in related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of the principles of event and venue management, services, and equipment in a similar environment.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under limited supervision and to interact with all levels of staff, including management.
- Strong in-person customer service experience.
- Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
