Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of the production process, including the operation of tables, ovens, dividers, molders, and the mixing of ingredients as directed by supervisors.
  • Shape, cut, mold, and bake dough to meet production standards.
  • Track baking completion times effectively.
  • Notify department leads of any product quality concerns.
  • Ensure all processes align with customer specifications while minimizing risks to the organization.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Adapt to various environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, and cold.
  • Conduct basic visual inspections of products for quality assurance.
  • Utilize necessary tools and equipment to fulfill job duties.
  • Be available for both scheduled and unscheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Exhibit regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Effectively communicate with supervisors regarding any known or anticipated issues in a timely manner. Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and maintain clear communication with department staff to enhance productivity. Actively participate as a problem solver and team player, demonstrating strong verbal communication abilities.

While executing job responsibilities, employees are regularly required to use their hands and arms, as well as to talk and hear. The role involves standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, climbing, lifting, grasping, pushing, and pulling trays for extended periods. Employees must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a bakery or related field is preferred.

Ability to read and write in English is required; bilingual in English/Spanish is advantageous. Must be capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team. Follow simple instructions and guidelines effectively. Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to think critically. Meet deadlines and perform basic mathematical calculations. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and comply with OSHA and SDS standards. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
