Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Mobile App Developer to enhance our team at Shift Robotics. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in creating and launching mobile applications for both iOS and Android systems, with a focus on Bluetooth technology and backend services such as Firebase and AWS Amplify.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Utilize Bluetooth/BLE technologies within mobile applications to communicate with embedded devices.
  • Integrate mobile applications with backend solutions like Firebase and AWS Amplify.
  • Implement security features, including OTA firmware upgrade encryption and user authentication.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of mobile applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify opportunities for new features and enhancements.
  • Develop APIs to support mobile application functionalities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in mobile development.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to develop an intuitive user interface.
  • Engage in the entire application lifecycle, from concept through deployment.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile application development for iOS and Android.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing released applications on the App Store or Google Play.
  • Proficient in Bluetooth/BLE technologies and APIs for both iOS and Android.
  • Experience with Firebase and AWS Amplify for backend integration.
  • Proficient in Swift and Java/Kotlin programming languages.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML data formats.
  • Experience with Git, JIRA, and Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of OOP design principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
