Position Overview:
The Healthcare Customer Service Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for all patients interacting with our clinic.
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating Saturday shifts from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet patients promptly and courteously upon their arrival.
2. Collect and verify all necessary demographic and billing information to facilitate accurate billing processes.
3. Manage patient check-in procedures, including photocopying insurance cards and obtaining required signatures.
4. Answer incoming calls in a timely manner, ensuring excellent communication.
5. Review daily schedules for providers to ensure smooth operational flow.
6. Understand the protocols related to medical records to maintain confidentiality and comply with legal standards.
7. Actively contribute to a patient-centered healthcare environment.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in customer service and proficiency in telephone communication.
- Familiarity with clinical front desk operations is preferred.
Skills Required:
- Adhere to company policies and ethical guidelines.
- Complete all required training and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to navigate the clinic environment independently and perform physical tasks as needed.
