Tax Advisor for Small Businesses

H&R Block is seeking a highly skilled Client Advisor-Small Business and Tax to join our team. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and guidance to small business clients, ensuring they meet their tax obligations and take advantage of available tax savings opportunities.
About the Role:- Provide expert tax advice and guidance to small business clients, including preparation and submission of tax returns and other tax-related documents.
- Conduct tax planning and analysis to identify opportunities for tax savings and minimize tax liabilities.
- Develop and implement strategic tax plans for small business clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits, preparing responses and creating schedules as needed.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicating the effects of these developments to management and the tax team.
- Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills, with ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication.
- Intermediate knowledge of integrated online accounting applications and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- 5 years minimum related work experience.
